Most diets ask you to; change everything now, get you to weigh or count your food and are hard to stick to for the rest of your life.Changing Habits does the exact opposite. We change one thing at a time until it becomes a habit, there is no more counting of calories, or weighing of food and this is a diet with chocolate, cakes and yummy foods so it is a diet you can live with for the rest of your life and remain slim, healthy and full of energy.
Hi and welcome to the rest of your life. Don’t worry about the diets you have been on in the past, they don’t count anymore. All that is important is that we move forward and find a new (but old) way that works.
So why does Changing Habits work where other diets fail? Many diets are based on calorie control and counting carbohydrates, proteins and fats, so it is all about how much food am I allowed to have. Whereas if we do the exact opposite and stop worrying about how much and start concentrating on the quality of the food you are eating, then the amount you are eating will look after itself.
Let me explain more. Over the last 30 years science and technology have taken over the family meal. No longer does the mother of the family decide what should be eaten but rather a bunch of researchers in white lab coats and food manufacturers make the decisions, and then marketing and advertising woo the shopper of the family to purchase these foods.
Up until 30 years ago most of the food we ate was from the farm, meat, fish, chicken, eggs, fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds legumes and grains and then anything we could make with it. Now food is made up of a bunch of numbers, additives, preservatives, hydrogenated vegetable oil, flavours and modified foods. No longer is a chocolate cake made with 5 ingredients now it is made with 35 ingredients, all fake and from a chemical laboratory or refinery of some sort.
When people on diets look at a food label they look at the components of the food; that is salt, fat, calorie, carbohydrate, protein, cholesterol content. The most important thing on a food label is the food or ingredient list, all the rest is just fluff to woo you to eat the plastic technology food. By only reading the ingredients you will start to get a feel for what is actually in the food, therefore we start to look at the quality of the food rather than the quantity of the food components.
Food is perfect, that is food from nature not the food made in a chemical laboratory.
Changing Habits Changing Lives is an education program about the food we eat, how it is made, how it affects the health of the body and what foods we need to eat in order to be healthy.
It is really simple - eat only foods from nature because all other foods are junk. For thousands of years we have eaten butter, not margarine, we’ve eaten non processed sugar, not artificial sweeteners, we’ve eaten eggs not soy protein isolate, we’ve eaten real strawberries not strawberry flavouring. For the last 30 years before all these new foods were introduced as healthy alternatives we had very little obesity, heart disease, cancer, diabetes, depression, autism, allergies nor ADD or ADHD. Since the introduction of alternative foods rather then foods from nature, we have epidemics in each of the above mentioned diseases. There is a strong correlation.

Becoming educated it a powerful step, but acting on this information is the most powerful. Each chapter of my book Changing Habits Changing Lives is an education and then at the end of each chapter there are action steps for you to take. Read a chapter a week, do the action steps, change a bad eating habit into a good habit and you will be surprised at how fast your health and energy will improve, and yes you will lose weight. When the body is given real food instead of meal replacements and foods made in a chemical laboratory it automatically knows what to do and weight drops off without any calorie or food component counting. It is like magic. The body has an intelligence but it must be given the foods it has evolved to eat.

I recommend if you want a quick start, that you begin with the 21 Day Weight Loss Get Healthy E Book. Once you have finished the 21 day program then start on Changing Habits Changing Lives, this will make sure that the quick start remains with youfor the rest of your life. Take it one chapter at a time, make sure you read the chapter do the action steps, then when you’re ready, go to the next chapter. Some chapters can be done in a day, others take longer, remember it is better to change slowly and forever than to change fast and then revert back to your old ways and gain all the weight back on and more. Oprah is a prime example of someone who has not changed her habits, she just goes on the fad diets.

I find that making the giant leap from worrying about calories, carbohydrates, proteins and fats to actually looking at the natural ingredients takes some time as it is so ingrained into our life. We have to have repetition. As well as my books I have an audio program that goes for 4 ½ hours which is me reading the book, Changing Habits Changing Lives. This is so important to listen to, as reading the material once, will not be enough, you have to reread it and listen to it. The audio is a perfect tool for when you are on the road or out exercising to retain more of the information. I also have a screen saver that prompts you about the habit changes. It has 90 slides filled with habit changing prompters, so when you sit down at your computer you are reminded of things you should be doing in order to be healthy for the rest of your life. There are reports on specific topics like diabetes, gout, depression etc and newsletters you can access in order to keep you abreast of new information with regards to health and food.

For instance recently I did an article on flavouring and how the flavour industry is very secretive. Even though on the label it may just say flavour in actual fact there can be up to 50 chemicals that make up a flavour.

I’ve lived this lifestyle all my life.
